Our Projects
Client: Foreign, Common Wealth and Development Office
Project Location: Quebec, Canada
Project Name: Rehabilitation of a story Residential Buildings
Project Description:
Due to the aging of the buildings owned by the organization, Conoria inspection of the superstructure and the foundation of the building to determine the integrity status of the building, developed report of findings, and repair design and drawings. The scope also included contract administration; therefore, we prepared bid documents and evaluated bids, selected a repair contractor, secured permit for execution of the repair work, and performed quality assurance services.
Design, contract administration, and supervision of the construction of
driveway of the building was also a major milestone. The supervision was necessary to ensure that the work was carried out according to specifications.
Client: Private
Project Location: Manchester, UK
Project Name: Remodel of Residential Building – Conversion of Attic/Loft to living space and Load Bearing Wall Removal
Project Description:
The client invited Conoria Solutions to assess the possibility of changing the use of the roof floor to living space and removal of a load bearing wall. Conoria performed site inspection to determine the status of the structural member, performed a desktop structural analysis considering the applicable loads using relevant codes to determine structural members suitable for the proposed type of use of the roof floor, hence suitable sizes were selected for both the floor and the wall.
Detailed engineering layout drawings and calculations required for city permit application were developed and delivered to client.
Client: Solify
Project Location: Toronto, Canada
Project Name: Assessment of roof structures capacity to carry additional load resulted from Solar Panel installation on roof rafters
Project Description:
Conoria Solutions was appointed to assess the roof structural wood member’s ability to support additional load from photovoltaic roof mount system to be installed on the roof. To confirm the integrity of the wood structural member and the dimensions, an inspection of the joists was carried out and the information obtained from the inspection of the roof was used to analyse the wooden joists using the National Building Code and all application loads to determine the effect of the PV panel load on the wooden roof structural member. The result of the inspection and the analysis carried out was used to determine if the existing structural frames were adequate to carry the new load or if strengthening of the structural frames was necessary.
Client: Private
Project Location: Niagra Falls, Canada
Project Name: Engineering Design of Agricultural Building (Barn Structure)
Project Description:
The farm structure, Barn—consists of 180 feet in length and 44 feet in width. Conoria Solution performed the design of the foundation and superstructures, contract administration, and technical assurance during construction of the structure. The following steps were adopted:
- Conoria conducted site assessment and analysis to evaluate various factors such as soil conditions, topography, environmental considerations, and proximity to existing structures or utilities to identify any site-specific challenges or constraints that needed to be addressed.
- Conceptual and detailed design were developed, integrating the client’s functional requirements, aesthetic preferences, and budgetary constraints while prioritizing structural integrity and efficiency.
- Detailed design calculations and drawings were prepared that translated the conceptual design into actionable construction documents. We liaised with local authorities and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits for the construction of the barn, facilitating a smooth and timely permitting process.
- Throughout the construction phase, we provided technical support and assurance to ensure that the structural elements of the barn were executed according to the design and specifications.
Client: Konstant Manufacturing
Project Location: Ontario, Canada
Project Name: Engineering Assessment of Jig Crane Structural Facilities and Load Rating of the Jig Crane Structural System
Project Description:
Conoria Solutions was contacted to perform structural assessment of client cranes and supporting structures and to determine load capacity ratings of their jig cranes. Conoria carried out inspection of the facilities to determine the status of the facilities and developed detailed report and recommendations for the repair of anomalies found. Conoria Solutions also performed structural analysis of the supporting frames to determine the maximum acceptable load on the crane system, considering the load rating of the motor and the data from the inspection of the structural frames.
Physical load test was also carried out to confirm the maximum load obtained from the structural analysis output.
Detailed report was issued to the clients with recommendations for repair and load rating of the crane systems.
End Client: Advent Bioservice
Project Location: Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
Project Name: Foundation Design check for Advert Bioservice Cryogenic Bulk Tank
Project Description:
Conoria Solutions was contacted to conduct detailed engineering check of the design of foundation forCryogenic Bulk Tank. We performed independent analysis of the infrastructure using the relevant codes and standard. This includes the effect of wind, seismic and it weight on the foundation and the anchored bolts. The design check was successfully performed and detail comments and report of findings were presented to client.
Client: Ervor
End Client: GE Power
Project Location: Windsor, Canada
Project Name: Foundation and Anchored Bolts design for Air Compressor System unit plant
Project Description:
The air compressor consists of a unit of equipment of 2.5m x 3m length and height of 2.6m with some mechanical and electrical equipment inside the plant. This project involved the design of the foundation of the compressor system using relevant Canadian codes and standards. The structural elements are concrete foundations and the anchored bolts design and specification. The calculation and designed stamp drawings required for construction permit were issued to client.
Client: Advance Excavating and General Contracting (AEGC)
Project Location: Ontario, Canada
Project Name: Rehabilitation of Novo Pharmacy Warehouse – Piperack Design and Fabrication Drawings
Project Description:
The Advance Excavation and General Contracting (AEGC) contacted Conoria solutions to carry out detailed Structural Design of the steel structural Piperack and produced shop drawings for Piperack/Pipe supporting structures at the warehouse and HVAC structural supporting systems.
Conoria performed a site inspection to ascertain the current state of the structures, carried out detailed design of the steel structures and produced shop drawings that complied with clients’ specifications and relevant codes and standards.
Conoria Solutions also liaised with the fabrication company and produced machine-readable CAD files that was required by the fabrication company to produce the steel member automatically from the automated machine.
Client: Private
Project Location: Windsor, Canada
Project Name: Assessment of stability of slope of the shoreline and plan development of shore protection system
Project Description:
As a result of erosion of the shore behind the residential building, it was necessary to develop plan and preliminary design of the shoreline to avoid the erosion of the shoreline and ensure the stability of the slope to keep the residential building safe.
Analysis of the slope was performed, and the data obtained from the slope analysis in addition to environmental loads were used to perform structural analysis and suitable shore protection system were selected and detailed report with recommendations and drawings was developed and presented to client.
Client: Prospect Concrete Forming Inc
Project Location: Windsor, Canada
